Why choose gel?

There are several reasons why the popularity of gel has grown so rapidly over the past decade, some of which are:
No chemical activators: Polymerisation takes place under the UV lamp, rather than via the use of chemicals, which many people in the industry believe is better for the natural nails.
No odour: Gel nails do not give off odours or fumes because they do not evaporate easily, as with other nail enhancement systems.
Added flexibility: Gel nails exhibit great elasticity, which doesn’t mean they are not strong: rather it means they behave more like the natural nail plate – flexible.

Natural nail overlay:

Many gel converts say that their ultimate long term goal is for their own nails to grow underneath their enhancements, with a view to eventually having great looking nails, naturally.
Gel is a great support for natural nails and will help maintain the desired length of the natural nails.
It takes away the feeling of wearing ‘artificial’ nails; rather the gel has now become a strong, supportive base coat. This base coat need never be removed, only maintained.

Nail enhancements:

Many people want to leave the salon with longer nails than they walked in with. This is achieved by applying a nail tip and overlaying the natural nail and the tip with gel.
The tips can be cut down to size and the nail technician can advise on the most suitable length for each client.
A forever French enhancement, using white gel, is available for those wanting a hassle free French manicure at all times.
Alternatively, natural tips are applied and can be painted with your usual nail polish, as you would with natural nails.
